Owners of 2006-2014 Chevy Corvettes equipped with an automatic transmission may comment about a high-pitched whine or buzz noise heard from under the vehicle with the key on and the engine off, or for up to one minute after the vehicle has been shut off.

The noise may be caused by the internal transmission solenoids being commanded to minimum line pressure by the TCM (transmission control module). The noise is a normal operating characteristic.
