Toyota Adjusts Feel of Trailer Brakes

Some 2016-2017 Toyota Tundra truck customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the braking feel of the integrated trailer brake controller. Revised software for the Trailer Brake Control ECU has been developed to provide an alternative trailer braking feel for these customers.

Connect Techstream and establish a vehicle connection. Click the Health Check button on the System Select tab. Choose the desired ECU group in the Health Check dialog box. Click Next. Click Continue to view Health Check results. If the modified calibration ID is not listed in the calibration, flash reprogram the Trailer Brake Control ECU.
