This bulletin applies to 2016-2019 Cadillac ATS vehicles equipped with an 8L45 or 8L90 automatic transmission. If, after replacing the valve body, you may find a no movement condition. This may be due to the incorrect 1-2-7-8-R clutch fluid passage seal, or a missing seal.
Remove the valve body and inspect for the 1-2-7-8-R clutch fluid passage seal installation. Make sure that the correct seal is installed.
- The 8L45 seal is P/N 24262438 and the seal has no ID notches. This seal is 33.5 mm tall.
- The 8L90 seal is P/N 24259218 and the seal has 5 ID notches and is 23.1 mm tall.
