Wind-Proofing RAM Trucks

This bulletin applies to 2016-2017 RAM 1500 and 2500 trucks built on or after Aug. 10, 2015 and on or before Sept. 18, 2017, equipped with power heated door mirrors, fold-away mirrors or power multi-function fold-away mirrors. One or both mirrors may have excessive wind noise.

Cover all openings on the gasket and wiring harness with mylar tape.

Remove both mirrors and discard the mirror door gaskets. Install a new gasket P/N 68418326AA (RH) and/or 68418327AA (LH). Cut an opening and install a piece of mylar tape on the mirror door gasket and around the folding mirror wiring harness, covering all openings or voids. Install the mirror(s). The mylar tape is P/N 68279699AA. Order one mylar tape per mirror.
