Some owners of 2016-2018 Chevy Camaro vehicles may complain that it is difficult to shift the automatic transmission out of the Park position.

This condition may be caused by debris and contamination collecting in the grease located in the brake transmission shifter interlock (BTSI) solenoid within the shifter, causing slow activation of the solenoid plunger.

If this condition is found, replace the shifter control assembly, P/N 84588250.
