Honda has released a new water-based lubricant that it recommends for installing rubber-based intercooler hoses.

The lube is a ThreeBond product TB2720CH. Honda’s part number is 08734-0013.

The lubricant dries quickly for hose retention after hose installation and will not introduce any contaminants into the system. 

Honda also recommends this lube for general coolant hose installation.
