This bulletin applies to 2018-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles built on or before Feb. 1, 2019, and equipped with a 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 SRT or 6.4L V8 SRT HEMI engine and Quadra-Trac Active On Demand 4WD, that may require reprogramming the drivetrain control module (DTCM) with the latest software. The customer may experience a shudder on turns during acceleration, and/or a hot clutch-type odor.

After using a scan tool to verify that all related systems are functioning as designed, install a battery charger to maintain battery voltage between 13.2 and 13.5 volts. Reprogram the DTCM using the latest available software.

Clear all DTCs that may have set during reprogramming.
