Some 2012-2013 Ford Explorer vehicles built on or before 9/3/2012 and equipped with the 2.0L GTDI engine, may exhibit an illuminated MIL along with DTC P06B8 (internal control module non-volatile random access memory error).

Reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration using IDS release 81.01 or higher. Files are available at www.motorcraft.com.
