    Some 2017-2018 Ford Explorer vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine built on or before Dec. 7, 2017, may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P04DB (crankcase ventilation system disconnected) in the PCM.

    Reprogram the PCM using IDS or Ford J2534 diagnostic software release 108.02 or higher. Make sure that you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates.
