This bulletin applies to 2011-2018 Ram 2500, 3500 and 4500/5500 vehicles equipped with 4WD and manual or electronic shift-on-the-fly transfer cases. Due to lack of proper maintenance, failures of the U-joints have occurred on some heavy-duty Ram front drive shaft double Cardan universal joints.

The joint must be lubricated using a needle nose grease gun adapter during scheduled maintenance every 8000 miles (gas engine) or every 7500 miles (diesel). Lubricate the double cardan joint using Mopar type MS-6560 lithium-based grease or equivalent. Note: there is an underhood reminder sticker on the left front fender.
