This bulletin applies to 2010-2017 Subaru Legacy and Outback, 2014-2017 Forester, 2012-2017 Impreza, 2013-2017 Crosstrek and 2015-2017 WRX vehicles. A new transmission control valve assembly is available to prevent false detection of DTC P0841 and/or illumination of the AT temp light.

Testing has revealed, in some cases, air bubbles (aerated fluid) may enter certain pressure circuits within the control valve assembly, causing fluid pressure control and adjustment to be calculated incorrectly, resulting in the DTC. The shape of these circuits has been changed to prevent this occurrence.
