• Unwanted Shift Hits Lincoln

    This bulletin is for some 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ vehicles built on or before Sept. 30, 2013.

    Some 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ vehicles built on or before Sept. 30, 2013, may shift to park when the vehicle is traveling below 5 mph and/or a wrench light may be illuminated, with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P081F stored in the gear shift module (GSM).

    Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) and the GSM to the latest calibration using the integrated dynamics system (IDS) release 89.02 and higher.

    The push-button shift transmission has unique operating characteristics including an automatic return to park feature.
