Autopromotec 2013 featured 1,512 exhibitors (39 percent were from 52 different foreign countries), and 102,536 visitors, including 83,594 from Italy and 18,942 from abroad.
There was a slight decrease of approximately 1.8 percent in the number of Italian exhibitors from the previous Autopromotec, show organizers said. In particular, this involved businesses that were more badly hit by the economic crisis, such as car wash stations, dealers and workshops – while attending tire and overhaul businesses were still numerous.
On the other hand, compared to the 2011 edition, there was a 2.2 percent increase in the number of foreign visitors, including representatives from many high-profile, highly specialized businesses. Finally, there was a significant increase in B2B meetings.
Autopromotec 2013 also featured a series of conferences. The events forming part of AutopromotecEDU offered its participants food for thought on the automotive aftermarket in Italy and in the world’s most strategically important countries, demonstrating the exhibition’s focus on the professional growth of the market and its players.
Duccio Campagnoli, president of BolognaFiere, said: “Autopromotec 2013 was a great success. In the future, the partnership between BolognaFiere and Autopromotec will continue to provide a crucial support to the ‘made in Italy’ and the Italian automotive market. In particular, BolognaFiere will continue to act as an international platform and meeting hub for Asian, European and American market players, as shown by the higher number of foreign operators attending Autopromotec 2013.”
The next edition of Autopromotec will take place at Bologna’s exhibition center from May 20 to 24, 2015.
