Snap-on releases their latest 26.2 Software, over 8 million component tests
Snap-on has released the 26.2 software bringing several new features and updates with it.
Through software updates, Snap-on aims to keep their users' diagnostic tols equipped for whatever job rolls into their shop. The diagnostic software comes with patented features designed to make jobs faster and more intuitive with affordable options and North America-based customer care. The 26.2 software release features more vehicle coverage; manufacturer level capabilities for codes, data, and tests; consistent navigation and terminology across makes; and advanced data graphing and quick access to the most common specifications and reset procedures.
Specific features include:
- 2025 model year updates: Acura, Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Porsche, and Volkswagen. As well as 2026 code scan and clear for 33 supported makes.
- New guided component tests: Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysley, Ford, GMC, Genesis, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jeep, Kia, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Porsche, RAM, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo.
- Complete code scans: Pre- and post-scan functions quickly identify all codes for every system. Reports are automatically saved to the Snap-on Cloud and can be shared with customers.
- Service resets and relearns: Organized by common repair procedures across all makes. A related repairs graph highlights other fixes that should be considered and OEM technical bulletins are also provided.
- Security Link: Snap-on has partnered with OEM-secured modules through Snap-on Security Link to streamline the process between the user, the scan tool, and the manufacturer. It allows the user to perform OEM-secured functions with ease.
