PPG announces release of two clearcoat product lines

May 9, 2025
Both of PPG's new clearcoats meet the EPA's National Rule on volatile organic compounds.

PPG announced the release of two clearcoats for the collision repair market: PPG Super Value SC300 Series clearcoats and PPG Deltron NXT DC7020 Glamour Speed Clearcoat.

The PPG Super Value SC300 acrylic urethane clearcoats are available in versions that meet the EPA's National Rule on volatile organic compounds and Rule 2.1, which is required in states such as California. The SC300 clearcoats can be cured using air or baking, providing consistent results.

The PPG Deltron NXT DC7020 Premium Glamour Speed Clearcoat also meets the EPA's National Rule on volatile organic compounds. It offers a rapid curing time of 5 minutes at 140 degrees F or under 60 minutes at room temperature, which allows for faster cycle times and reduced energy consumption. When used with PPG waterborne or solvent-borne basecoats, it provides a high-gloss finish.
