Funky Fuel Indicator for Mini Cooper

    This bulletin applies to 2016 Mini Cooper vehicles produced from November 1, 2016, through December 12, 2016.

    This bulletin applies to 2016 Mini Cooper vehicles produced from November 1, 2016, through December 12, 2016. The fuel level indicator upper LED may not illuminate even though the tank has been filled until auto-shutoff. The cause may be due to a pressure relief valve in the fuel tank closing too early.

    1. Drain the fuel tank.

    2. Remove the fuel delivery unit.

    3. Remove and replace the fuel tank with P/N 16 11 7 453 430.

    4. Reinstall the fuel delivery unit.
