This bulletin applies to 2019 and later Porsche Cayenne PHEV vehicles. Customers with the hard-wired Porsche Wall Charger Connect (P/N 9J1.068.209) may report ground fault errors and ask for warranty work or replacement. Ground faults are typically due to installation errors.

An electrician should check the dip switches prior to replacing the unit (see illustration here). Voltage measurements should be within 10% of the network type selected (120, 208, 240) and within 10% of each other for all three measurements:

1. L1 > L2

2. L1> G

3. L2> G

Ground inspection:

1. Must be direct to earth ground (no floating materials, junction points or pipe grounds)

2. Ensure that the charger is not installed on a high-leg (delta transformer configuration)

Also ensure that the proper wire gauge is used for electrical load and length.
