TSB: Terrain Turbo Hose

This bulletin details the inspection and replacement procedures for the turbocharger air inlet pipe in GMC Terrain models equipped with the 1.5L LSD engine, focusing on preventing power loss caused by damage to the inlet hose.

Terrain Turbo Hose

This bulletin applies to 2023-2025 GMC Terrain vehicles equipped with a 1.5L LSD engine. The vehicle may exhibit reduced power. DTCs P0237, P0101, P1101 or P0299 may be set. The cause may be damage to the air inlet pipe at the turbocharger.

Inspect the charge air inlet pipe at the turbo to see if the anti-abrasion sleeve shows signs of being shredded or split. If this damage is found, remove the hose assembly and inspect the hose beneath the abrasion sleeve for signs of being split. This type of damage would allow the hose to swell under pressure, damaging the abrasion sleeve and altering the readings within the boost control system or create a potential air leak. If hose damage is found, replace the entire hose assembly.
