TSB: Alfa Limp Mode

Alfa Limp Mode

This bulletin applies to 2024 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles equipped with a 2.9L V6 twin turbo PDI engine. The MIL may be and the vehicle may enter limp mode. DTC P0606 (control module processor) may be stored. The PCM software is the likely cause. Reprogram with the latest version.

  1. Reprogram the primary PCM.

  2. Reprogram the secondary PCM.

  3. Perform the “Control Unit Reprogramming” routine in wiTECH, located in the ECM “Misc. Functions” menu tab.

  4. Perform the “Control Unit Reprogramming” routine in wiTECH located in the ECM2 Misc. functions.

  5. With ignition in the ON position, engine off and engine temperature above 176 degrees F, perform the oil level sensor replacement routine in wiTECH located in the ECM2 misc. functions tab and clear any DTCs.
