TSB: Mercedes PHEV Software
Mercedes PHEV Software
This bulletin applies to 2025 Mercedes-Benz 167, 254, 206, 214 and 223 PHEV variants. The MIL may be with DTC P2E9873 (position sensor of the external socket flap of the direct current vehicle socket indicates an electrical fault). The actuator does not open. However, the vehicle starts or charges normally.
The cause: a software issue in the control unit N116/5 – DC charge-connection unit (DCCU).
Update software for N116/5 and perform SCN coding of N116/5. Once the SCN coding has been updated, the engine diagnosis indicator lamp (MIL) will no longer be illuminated. Replacing parts will not solve the issue.
