TSB: Lexus Fuel Odor

This bulletin applies to 2019-2022 Lexus ES350 and 2016-2022 RX350 and RX450H vehicles. Some vehicles equipped with either a 2GR-FKS or 2GR-FXS engine may exhibit fuel odor from the high pressure fuel pump. If the fuel odor is confirmed as coming from the high pressure fuel pump, replace the pump with the updated design using P/N 23101-0P010, 23101-F0010 or 23101-0P020, depending on the specific vehicle. The intake manifold does not need to be removed to access the high pressure pump. Vehicles equipped with a 2GR engine require removal of the surge tank assembly only. Removal of the coolant bypass hoses to the throttle body is not required. Remove the throttle body from the surge tank and lay it to the side.
