Subaru: Improved Hub Bearing

This bulletin applies to 2014-2019 Subaru Crosstrek, 2014-2018 Forester, 2014-2019 Impreza and 2014 WRX vehicles. New front wheel bearing hub assemblies are available incorporating bearing surfaces with increased resistance to imperfections resulting from shock loads (pot holes/rough roads). If the bearing surface is affected, a growling type sound may become audible when speed exceeds 25 MPH. 

The new part can easily be identified by “7”s found on the back of the flange. When wheel bearing service is needed, use only the new bearing assembly design.
