Fixing Chevy Colorado vibration

Owners of 2015-2022 Chevy Colorado vehicles equipped with a 6L50 MYB or 8L45 M5T transmission may report a concern of a vibration at idle in gear or at very low speeds.

Owners of 2015-2022 Chevy Colorado vehicles equipped with a 6L50 MYB or 8L45 M5T transmission may report a concern of a vibration at idle in gear or at very low speeds.

Inspect for a stray nut or other debris, such as a rock that may be wedged between the rubber and metal portions of the transmission mount. Debris may be difficult to find.

A borescope may be needed to gain viewing access. If debris is found, loosen the mount fasteners, manipulate the debris out and torque fasteners back to specification.
