This bulletin applies to 2019 Ram 3500/4500/5500 trucks involving reconfiguration for the proper operation of the Tire Fill Assist feature. This involves vehicles built on or after June 6, 2019, and on or before Aug. 5, 2019, and equipped with Tire Fill Assist.
The customer may note that the Tire Fill Alert or Selectable Tire Fill Alert does not work. Make sure that this feature is enabled in the radio’s safety and driving assistance menu.
1. Check if the Tire Fill Alert feature is working. Set the ignition to “run” with the engine off.
2. Inflate any tire on the vehicle two to three psi over the tire pressure specification.
3. Start to deflate the test tire. If this feature is working, the horn will chirp one time once the tire pressure reaches its pressure specification.
4. If the horn chirped one time, the feature is working. If not, proceed to step five.
5. Using wiTECH, reconfigure the vehicle. This routine is available under the guided diagnostic tab found on the home vehicle view page of wiTECH.
6. Clear any DTCs which may have set.
7. Disconnect the scan tool, turn the ignition off, and open and close the driver door. Let all modules go to sleep.
8. Set ignition to “run” with the engine off.
9. Go into the radio’s “Safety & Driving Assistance” menu and enable the Tire Fill Alert feature.
10. Make sure that all tires are set to specification.
