If the BMW Z4 vehicle exhibits a transmission fluid leak in the area around the oil cooler lines on the transmission side, chances are the O-rings are damaged due to “unfavorable” cooling line connection tolerances.

If the BMW Z4 vehicle exhibits a transmission fluid leak in the area around the oil cooler lines on the transmission side, chances are the O-rings are damaged due to “unfavorable” cooling line connection tolerances. If the fluid leak originates from the cooling line area, replace the O-rings and the cooling lines. Only replacing the O-rings may result in a repeat failure.
