JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) is investigating an issue on AJ21 D4M powered vehicles. Customers are experiencing issues with FEAD primary belt failure which could lead to a flat battery and possibly an oil leak. The belt tensioner becomes temporarily stuck and the belt snaps during an engine start. Replace the tensioner assembly and the drive belts at the same time using the appropriate service tool for the water pump belt. Residual diesel and/or oil from a previous leak may enter the tensioner and cause internal damage.
