Correct Ram Transmission Dipstick

This bulletin applies to 2018 Ram 3500/4500 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel engine and 6-speed automatic 68RFE transmission, built on Oct. 11, 2017.

This bulletin applies to 2018 Ram 3500/4500 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel engine and 6-speed automatic 68RFE transmission, built on Oct. 11, 2017.


The transmission dipstick may be incorrect. If the transmission oil level appears to be low, first check for the correct dipstick. The transmission dipstick should display a part number 53034117AB. If the part number does not display this number, replace the dipstick with P/N 53034117AB. If oil level is still incorrect, continue with diagnosis.
