Rough Running BMW Needs Update

This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 740i and 3 series sedans. The vehicle may run rough or hesitate when accelerating from a stationary position and code FC 21A02D may be stored in DME fault memory (combustion control: valve lift correction when at idle).

This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 740i and 3 series sedans. The vehicle may run rough or hesitate when accelerating from a stationary position and code FC 21A02D may be stored in DME fault memory (combustion control: valve lift correction when at idle).

This is due to a software error in the DME. Update the vehicle software using ISTA 4.27.10 or higher.
