This bulletin provides information related to the ECU software logic update for some 2015 Hyundai Tucson vehicles equipped with a 2.0L GDI engine that may experience a check engine light on with DTC P0128 (coolant thermostat – coolant temp below thermostat regulating temperature).

This DTC, according to Hyundai, does not affect vehicle drivability. Update the ECU software. You must initially perform the GDI ECU update in Auto Mode. If the ECU update starts but then fails in Auto Mode, perform the update in Manual Mode to recover.
