Check Chevy's DEF Tank Fasteners

Some diesel-powered 2017 Chevy Silverado HD vehicles may have an under-torqued fastener on the upper attachment point of the front diesel exhaust fluid tank bracket. The loose fastener may rattle.

Some diesel-powered 2017 Chevy Silverado HD vehicles may have an under-torqued fastener on the upper attachment point of the front diesel exhaust fluid tank bracket.

If the fastener is loose, it may cause a rattle and over time it could cause the lower fastener and rear fasteners to loosen.

Inspect all four tank mounting fasteners. All nuts must be torqued to 13 ft-lb.
