Ram Promaster Extended Crank

2014 RAM ProMaster vehicles equipped with a 3.2L or 3.6L engine may experience intermittent extended crank and/or long crank times.

2014 RAM ProMaster vehicles equipped with a 3.2L or 3.6L engine may experience intermittent extended crank and/or long crank times.

No DTCs may be present when this occurs. Inspect the Bank 1 camshaft position sensor serial number and replace, if necessary. Locate the Bank 1 camshaft position sensor located in the top rear of the valve cover. Inspect and record the serial number stamped on the top of the sensor. If the serial number begins with the letter “D,” replace the sensor with P/N 05149141AF.

If the sensor serial number begins with the letter “D”, replace the sensor with the updated P/N.
