This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine. The blend door may be stuck in full heat mode. Recalibrating or replacing the right side HVAC blend door actuator will be required.

The new actuator A/C heater right temp blend door is available as P/N CNRFX641AA.

Perform the Actuator Calibration Test routine found under the Systems Test tab in the HVAC module view in the wiTECH diagnostic application. The HVAC controller must be updated to the latest available software.

If the right side actuator fails the calibration test, remove the right side instrument panel silencer.

Using the HVAC controller, operate the driver and passenger temperatures from max hot to max cold and visually inspect the actuator linkage for proper operation and temperature change.

If the actuator does not operate normally, remove the right blend door actuator.

Install a new right door actuator.

Perform a heating and cooling test with the engine running and warmed up. Perform at least three complete temperature cycles, operating both max hot and max cool from the passenger side panel outlets. Confirm that each temperature is held for one minute at each position.
