Some owners of 2015 Jaguar F-Type, XE, XF and XJ vehicles may report that while pressing the Auto Stop/Start button, a warning message (“Auto Stop/Start not available”) may be displayed in the instrument cluster. DTC B12CD-87 will be logged in the gateway module (GWM).
The ignition live input into the vehicle quality module (VQM) may have a poor connection, and/or no LIN circuit between the VQM and GWM.
Check ignition live circuit into the VQM 6-way connector pin 2. Repair as required.
For F-Type and XJ...check the LIN circuit between the VQM 6-way connector pin 4 & pin 13 of the GWM. Repair the connector as required.
For XE and XF...check the LIN circuit between VQM 6-way connector pin 4 & pin 58 of the BCM (body control module). Repair as needed.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, replace the VQM.
