ABS Programming Issue for Fiat
This bulletin involves ABS nodule enhancement for 2013-2015 Fiat 500E vehicles built on or before September 26, 2015, and equipped with the 83 KW electric motor. This involves both a coordinated update of the ABS module and Regenerative Brake Controller (RBC) module software.
You may encounter one or more fault codes, including U0001-00 (CAN C BUS ... sets in ABS and RBC modules), U1487-00 (implausible data received from regenerative brake controller ... sets in ABS module), and/or U1200-00 (lost communication with power inverter module ... sets in ABS module).
Reprogram the ABS and RBC modules with the latest software. Clear all DTCs that may have been set during the reflash. Upon completion of the reprogramming session, an additional 10-second key cycle (off to on) may be required to mature an active DTCM (drive train control module) allowing DTCs to be cleared.
