Cadillac Turbo Rattles When Cold
This bulletin applies to 2014-2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sport and XTS vehicles equipped with the LF3 twin-turbocharged engine.
The vehicle may exhibit a rattle from the turbocharger when cold. This will be a cold start noise at idle, not to be confused with the noise when revving the engine. If you have verified that the rattle noise when cold is from the turbocharger and the noise is unforced, there is a revised part available for this concern.
The new part has a revised spring for the wastegate to limit movement when cold. The new P/Ns are 12666538 (LH) and 12666538 (RH) for CTS-V Sport and 12666540 (RH/LH) for the XTS.
