Curing the Cadillac Turbo Rattle

2014-2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sport and XTS vehicles equipped with an LF3 twin turbocharged engine may experience a rattle noise during cold startup and idle, with the noise coming from the turbocharger.

2014-2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sport and XTS vehicles equipped with an LF3 twin turbocharged engine may experience a rattle noise during cold startup and idle, with the noise coming from the turbocharger.

A revised part is available to address this concern. The new part has a revised spring for the wastegate to limit movement when cold. The P/N is 12666538 (LH turbo) and 12666530 (right hand turbo) for the CTS-V and 12666540 (both RH and LH turbos) for the XTS.
