Some 2012-2014 Toyota Tacoma trucks equipped with 1GR-FE engines may exhibit a spark knock (detonation) during light acceleration and/or uphill in hot weather (80 degrees F or higher). The engine control module (ECM) logic has been modified to reduce the possibility of this condition. Reprogram the ECM with the latest available software version.

For 2012 models with 2WD and 6-speed manual transmission, the previous calibration ID is 30467000. The new calibration ID is 30467100. For 2012 models with 4WD and 6-speed manual transmission, the previous calibration ID is 30468000. The new calibration ID is 30468100.
For 2013-2014 models 4WD/2WD PreRunner with 5-speed, the previous calibration ID is 30480000. The new calibration ID is 30480100. For 2013-2014 models with 2WD and 6-speed manual transmission, the previous calibration ID is 30481000. The new calibration ID is 30481100. For 2013-2014 with 4WD and 6-speed manual transmission, the previous calibration ID is 30482000. The new calibration ID is 30482100.
