Some owners of 2014-2019 Cadillac CTS vehicles equipped with a 2.0L engine may comment that the Low Oil light is on. This condition may be caused by the oil level sensor wiring harness clip installed incorrectly, causing the harness to become too long and contact the driveshaft.
If this condition is verified, inspect the wiring harness. Using a suitable light, inspect the wiring harness point of contact at the driveshaft and check positioning of the clip. If the clip was installed at the bottom, correct this by placing the clip at the top of the clip location. Repair the harness if/as needed. Using woven polyester electrical tape (PET), tape all contact points of the harness ensuring that the tape is applied in a double layer.
