Weld Failures Hit Ford Transmissions
2009-2015 Ford E-Series vans equipped with a TorqShift (5R110W) transmission with coast clutch cylinder weld failures should be repaired. For this repair, use only the coast clutch cylinder 7C3Z-7G387-B and not the full coast clutch cylinder kits 9C3Z-7G387-A, B, C or D.
The use of full coast clutch kits should be limited to 2005 and older transmissions or, in rare instances, where the planetary and/or center shaft was damaged with the coast clutch.
