Spring Issue Possible for Leaning Porsche

This bulletin applies to all Porsche Cayenne vehicles equipped with a leveling system.

This bulletin applies to all Porsche Cayenne vehicles equipped with a leveling system. The vehicle may lean to one side. The leveling system function may not be available and a warning message “Chassis system failure” may appear in the instrument cluster.

At cold temperatures (well below freezing in the range of 5 degrees F), the condensed water can freeze in the leveling system and cause problems.

Park the vehicle overnight in a warm area. After leaving the vehicle overnight, check the function of the system. If the problem remains, replace the air spring on the affected spring strut. Disassemble the removed spring strut, clean it and assemble again using a new air spring and new seals. Refill the system and bleed.
