Owners of 2021-2022 Porsche Cayenne vehicles may complain about misfiring, a loss of power and/or a warning light indicating reduced power and entering limp mode or emergency drive mode.

This applies to both V6 and V8 engines.

The following DTCs may be found:

P01C900 (fuel high pressure system, bank 2, pressure above limit value)

P2ADF00 (leak behind throttle valve, bank 2)

P030000 (random/multiple cylinder misfire)

P030X00 (cylinder X misfiring)

P031600 (engine misfire detected on start-up)

P036300 (misfire detected, fueling disabled)

P016A00 (excessive time to enter closed loop, air/fuel ratio control)

B19A8F0 (display of reduced power, active)

P162400 (engine control indicator light switched on)

These faults/conditions may be the result of one or more broken valve springs. A manufactured batch of valve springs associated with the issue was quarantined by Parts Withdrawal GR13D599...valve spring PAB109623/958109623.

Any remaining stock of springs not quarantined or new parts received are therefore considered safe to use for installation. If you find one or more valve springs broken, all valve springs must be replaced.

Note that valve springs are color-coded. Exhaust springs have blue markings on top. Install with the blue marks up. Intake springs have white marks that are installed with marks up.
