Greasing Jeep Liberty Door Locks

Jeep Liberty vehicles may need to have grease applied to rear door locks if customer is experiencing shuddering, vibrating or rattling when actuating the power door locks or remote key fob.

This bulletin applies to 2011-2012 Jeep Liberty vehicles. The customer may notice the rear door lock knobs shuddering, vibrating or rattling when actuating the power door locks or remote key fob. This may be intermittent and does not affect the manual function of the locking system.

Remove both rear door panels. Apply Nye grease (P/N 05019059AA) to the rubber grommets in the door modules on the side of the grommets that may contact the link rod. Verify operation and reinstall the door panels.
