The software update will improve the activation and deactivation cycle of the auxiliary water pump relay.
Using a scan tool (wiTECH), verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed before proceeding. Record and repair as needed. Install a battery charger to prevent the battery from dropping below 13.2 volts or rising above 13.5 volts during the flash process.
Reprogram the PCM with the latest software, and clear all DTCs that may have set as a result of the reprogramming.
