Alfa Romeo Spider Clicks

Owners of a 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider may comment about a clicking noise at the engine area while driving.

Owners of a 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider may comment about a clicking noise at the engine area while driving. The concern may be caused by rapid activation and deactivation of the auxiliary water pump relay. A software update will improve the activation/deactivation cycle of this relay.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, first, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs or symptoms other than the relay concern are present, record and address as needed before proceeding. Reprogram the PCM with the latest available software and clear any DTCs that may have set during programming.
