Subaru Diff Plug Fix

If you run into a stripped front differential fill tube drain plug when changing the gear oil on a generation 1 CVT unit (2010-2012 Legacy and Outback), there is a countermeasure drain plug available.

The original drain plug (P/N 807016180) should be replaced with P/N 807015160 drain plug. This new type plug is 1.0 mm longer. DO NOT use P/N 807016210, which is too long and will damage the CVT transmission.

Note that all remanufactured CVT transmissions will already have the longer type drain plug installed.
