This bulletin applies to 2016-2017 Buick Envision Essence vehicles. Some customers may comment that the rear park brake may not release and/or a DIC message “Service Park Brake” is displayed and/or a warning indicator is illuminated.

This may be due to a rear brake caliper internally leaking brake fluid past the seal and onto the rear park brake actuator.

If you encounter a vehicle with this concern, replace the affected rear brake caliper and the park brake actuator. For part numbers, see “Brakes” in Group 04.665 and 04.591 of the appropriate parts catalog.
