Confused by Debris

This bulletin applies to 2016 Land Rover/Range Rover Sport vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine. Contamination between the ABS wheel speed sensor and the wheel bearing tone wheel could lead to the following DTCs being set:

C0030-38...Left front tone wheel...signal frequency incorrect

C0033-38....Right front tone wheel...signal frequency incorrect

C0036-38....Left rear tone wheel....signal frequency incorrect

C0039-38....Right rear tone wheel....signal frequency incorrect

C0031-76....Left front wheel speed sensor....wrong mounting position

C0034-76....Right front wheel speed sensor....wrong mounting position

C0037-76....Left rear wheel speed sensor.....wrong mounting position

C003A-76....Right rear wheel speed sensor.....wrong mounting position

Remove the relevant wheel speed sensor and remove any debris and reinstall. Remove the half-shaft retaining nut, with the corner assembly supported, then slide the shaft towards the vehicle to gain access to the tone wheel. Clean any debris from the tone wheel. Clear any fault codes and road-test to confirm the repair.
