This bulletin applies to 2011-2013 Chrysler Town & Country/Caravan models, built prior to Oct. 13, 2012, and equipped with right and left power sliding doors. Customers may experience that the power sliding door will not power close.

The sliding door may be stuck in the open position and the motor will make a clicking noise. There are no stored DTCs in the power sliding door module for this issue. This will happen when the PSDM loses the position counts. The sliding door will close manually using the inside or outside door handle. Flashing the PSDM will correct this condition.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that no DTCs are set. If DTCs are present, record and correct as needed. Using a scan tool, check the part number of the PSDM. If the part number is 68079909AA, perform the following procedure. If a different part number is found, this bulletin does not apply and normal diagnostics should be performed.

1. Install a battery charger to prevent the battery voltage from dropping below 13.2 volts or rising above 13.5 volts.

2. Flash reprogram the PSDM (reprogram both PSDMs) with the latest software. The part number should now have been updated to 68079909AB. If not, the module needs to be reprogrammed again. If the PSDM has been flashed a number of times and the part number still has not been updated, this bulletin does not apply and further diagnostics are required.

3. Clear any DTCs that may have set after reprogramming.

4. Perform the power sliding door relearn procedure in TechCONNECT.
