Hyundai Seat Belt Bolt

This bulletin applies to 2017-2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport vehicles. The driver’s seat belt anchor is attached to the vehicle’s inner sill structure with a bolt. The bolt may not have been properly torqued during vehicle assembly. 

Move the driver seat forward to allow access to the driver’s seat belt anchor bolt, located by the lower B pillar trim. Pull the anchor bolt cover up to expose the bolt. Set your torque wrench to 34.7 ft.-lbs.  (47 Nm). Apply torque until tightened to spec.

Reinstall the cover.
