Jaguar Reminds Techs How to Prevent Settling of Coolant

This bulletin applies to 2020 Jaguar E-Pace vehicles. An increased number of roadside assist reports have been received related to coolant level low warning after a coolant pump has been replaced.
This bulletin applies to 2020 Jaguar E-Pace vehicles. An increased number of roadside assist reports have been received related to coolant level low warning after a coolant pump has been replaced.
The cause is air being trapped during fluid fill after pump replacement. While driving, the coolant level settles below the MIN mark, triggering the coolant level low warning on the instrument cluster.
Jaguar reminds technicians to carefully follow each step of the TOPIx workshop manual procedures 303-03B: Engine Cooling – INGENIUM 14 2.0L Petrol General Procedures – Cooling Systems Draining, Filling and Bleeding/Vacuum Filling in order to prevent settling of coolant.
